"The Happy Colors Molly's Musical Birthday" (released as a "Molly's Big Musical" in Australia) was animation film by Walt Disney Pictures.

Synopsis

In the new movie, The Happy Colors embark on a journey to find Molly since a talent show in training Tim (Brendan Fraser), steals David's magic wand in order to make him sing very good at the talent show. Meanwhile, Molly is sad because she thinks that the Happy Colors and everyone have forgotten her birthday, while in fact they're all planning a surprise party for her by performing at the big music show.

Plot

Tim, great-great-grandson of Tommy, is the famous singer whose dream is to win the competition at the talent show by singing. However, he is confronted with the rival, Drake the magician, who believes Tim is a nobody.

Molly welcomes the viewer to the house where Catherine is preparing to have a big music show until they hear snoring. David is still asleep, so Molly goes into the bedroom and helps The Happy Colors wake him up. Felix had an accident with Wally after he blew a whistle to wake David up, causing him to act extremely silly. When David wakes up, he and his friends to get everything ready for the big music show. The Happy Colors go into the kitchen to have breakfast. David makes up a plan about what's happening today in the big music show. After breakfast, It's time for the show!

Tim, watching from behind a wall, sees Molly laying David's (who is a magician) magic wand on a table while sulking that everyone has forgotten her birthday but really they were trying to keep the surprise party for her a secret. Tim quickly snatches it but is caught by Molly. The 2 have a tug of war and the wand breaks in half.

Meanwhile, The Happy Colors decide to go out looking for Molly in the Big Red Car. They visit Roger Rabbit. Then, Tim and Molly visit Muppet, The Schmuzzies, and Lionel after the Happy Colors visit him. Tim and Molly stop a flower robber and go to a dance academy. Tim and Molly visit Shaun the Lion, Fana the Hippo, Raymond the Kangaroo, and Ayla.

The Happy Colors skidoo into the room that it’s like the music sheet. There, the gang meets an anthropomorphic G-Clef (voiced by Phil Collins) and notes, who offers to help him write a song. While in the music sheet, the Happy Colors learns about notes. Some notes are high, and some notes are low (as shown on a staff). Notes then sing in unison from different pitches about putting the notes together. They also learns about rhythm & tempo. They then comes up with a song, consisting of the words beep bop bay. However, they feels the song is incomplete, even with rhythm and tempo. G-Clef tells them that music comes from inside. Soon, the Happy Colors develops a complete song. Since the Happy Colors have no luck find Molly, they all looked everywhere in the rooms in the clubhouse, have to think that there's always a way, and do the Bear Cha Cha Cha.

During the adventures that Molly and Tim have, their friendship grows more and more. Molly leaves and sits on a bench, sadly, complaining to Tim that nobody remembers her birthday. Tim then says "I didn't forget your birthday" which makes Molly a little bit better. Tim begins to think by saying to himself to believe in himself. Tim forgets all about the talent show and is almost late but thanks to Molly, makes it. However, the security guard blocks their way and say that Tim should put his vehicle in the full car park but Tim thinks quick and says "You're a juggler in the show, You find a spot" and tosses his helmet at him leaving the security guard pinch-faced. He then signs in and runs into Drake who clearly amuses the judges when his score is 9-9-9. Tim find his Grandfather's old chest of music supplies and is confident in himself.

After Tim does his singing act with his special guest "Molly", the judges score him 10-10-9. He wins the competition which leaves Drake jealous but at the same time impressed. The Happy Colors are waiting for Molly to come to the party but nobody shows up. Tim takes Molly to her party when it is just about to be cancelled and the party begins as everyone sing a reprise of the main number. The Happy Colors thank the viewers and David tells us to "Take a bow" after the song as the movie ends.
