Lotta: Hello everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day! And welcome to another installment of... Character Reviews! My name is Lotta, and I got a very special for you today! Now, before we get into everything, I would like to make a statement. I love Valentine’s Day. All the cute cards, and candy going on... it’s all very cute, and I love what it has! I don’t actually have a date myself, but, I do as a matter of fact have someone I have a crush on. He is a classmate of mine, and his name is Bernie. Basically, he is a bit of a book worm. But, he does still have a sense of humor, and that’s what I like about him. I can honestly see him being paired with Sunburst from MLP.. I haven’t actually told him yet how I feel, but I am worried about him saying no. And that is what is going on in today’s Loud House episode. Brave the Last Dance. So without further ado... let’s get to reviewing today’s Loud House season 4 episode!

Episode analysis[]

Lotta: So the Valentine’s dance is going to be coming pretty soon. And Clyde has someone who he wants to ask to the dance. However, he is worried about his crush, Emma saying no. So he asks his friends for advice on what he can do to ask Emma for the dance. The things he does include trying on cologne, having her sit next to Clyde for some... movie? And having her give him a pen. Stella then gives Clyde a tea leaf prediction, which finally gives Clyde the right amount of confidence to ask Emma. However, Emma rejects Clyde, and it really breaks his heart! Clyde is in his house, sad, because of the rejection. Finally, Cheryl manages to get Clyde to come in with a cake emergency. And as Clyde is trying to go home after fixing up the cake, one of Emma’s friends sees him, and appreciates Clyde’s proposal to Emma from earlier. Clyde and Chloe talk to each other. And for once, he is not acting really awkward when talking to his crush. He acts normal, and also, we see the, having fun at the dance. Plus, Emma does show to act guilty for what she did. And then, that isn’t pretty much the end of the episode. So how did this Valentine’s theme episode go here? Well... here is my review on it!

Review[]

Lotta: Right Off the bag, I am glad that Clyde’s creepy crush on Lori from early on intonations the show had ended. I’m gonna be honest, Clyde crushing on Lori like that... it used to be kinda funny, but looking back at it... it’s just plain awkward. So it’s nice to see Clyde’s get together with someone who is not Lori. And Yoshi Player makes a good point, Clyde just acts normal around his crush. He doesn’t act like an awkward robot, or nosebleeds anywhere. We just see him blush and getting all lovestruck like a normal kid would do when seeing a crush. I kinda feel that way about Bernie. Like, I see him, and I can’t help but blush. And yes, it does include some sort of fantasy. And i’m able to relate to Clyde here, because I don’t know how I can talk to him. And what he would do when he says no. Even the ways he does it was pretty interesting o watch. Sure, it was not that funny. However, seeing Rusty and Liam in a diaper does make me chuckle a bit. Anyways, I don’t think this episode wanted to try and make you laugh. It just wanted to tell a simple crush stor. So far, it’s looking pretty good. But, I think where the episode shines, is when Clyde attempts to ask no, And is rejected. Placing him in a heartbroken mess. It really makes me sympathize with him. Granted, I never got rejected, but it was interesting seeing the show actually go in that direction. Poor Clyde. But honestly, it does give this episode a lot of substance. Probably my favorite part is the tea leaf prediction Stella has. She predicts that Clyde will go to the dance with a girl with brown hair. But Emma’s friend Chloe is a brunette. It’s very clever foreshadowing, and I can appreciate it. And Clyde going to the dance with Chloe in the end was a sweet, and also satisfying way to end things off. I like how his friends try to help him, even though they were all just coincidences. I think all of this makes it perhaps one of the strongest season 4 episodes of The Loud House. Will I be able to ask Bernie out when I can? Well... I don’t know. I don’t think there were any negatives to this one. It was just a very strong episode to watch. Clyde’s friends were very helpful in this one, Clyde crushing as Emma never reached creepy levels unlike Lori. Seriously, I still can’t get over that nosebleed thing. And the story overall was just really fun to watch. I actually don’t have much more to say, other that it’s a Valentine’s Day themed episode that I think would be great to watch on Valentine’s Day! Between this and Singled Out, I honestly prefer this episode. I just like it that’s much!

9/10
